Dues schedules are reviewed annually by the Board of Directors. Rates are effective for the 2026 membership year.
Important Tax Notice
Dues paid to the West Shores Chamber of Commerce are not tax-deductible as charitable contributions. However, they may be deductible as an ordinary and necessary business expense under IRC Section 162. A portion of dues used for lobbying and political activities is not deductible. The Chamber will notify members annually of the estimated non-deductible percentage in accordance with IRS requirements applicable to 501(c)(6) organizations.

When does my membership begin?
Your membership begins as soon as payment is received and your application is approved by the Board of Directors, typically within 2–3 business days.
Can I upgrade my tier later?
Yes. You can upgrade your membership tier at any time. Mid-year applications are prorated at the discretion of the Executive Director.
Is there a nonprofit discount?
Yes — the Nonprofit Member tier is set at $100/year (approximately 40–50% below comparable Business Member dues). Organizations must provide a current IRS determination letter or California tax-exemption documentation to qualify.
What is the Individual Member option?
Individual membership ($50–$100/year) is available to residents, sole practitioners, freelancers, and others who wish to engage with the Chamber community without a full business membership. Contact our office for details.
Can government agencies join?
Yes. Governmental Agency membership is designed to foster public-private collaboration. Dues are nominal (typically $0–$3,000) and may be waived by Board resolution. Agencies participate in an advisory, non-voting capacity.
What if my business is outside Salton City?
Membership is open to any business that operates in or serves the West Shores region, including Salton City, Desert Shores, Bombay Beach, and surrounding communities.
